I was trying to come up with another idea for a Halloween Head when I realized I had never done Dr Jekyll’s monstrous alter-ego Mr Hyde. It was high time I gave half of this split personality my full attention!
I had worked this monster out a bit on a piece of scrap paper before cobbling together the shapes and colors that would complete this vector illustration.
When I first got involved with digital illustration, I may have favored CorelDraw on my ancient PC or worked this out in Adobe Illustrator back when they still sold the program in a box! I now use the superior Affinity Designer to do my vector work. All of the tools I need are at the tips of my fingers, and it just seems like a whole lot more fun using this program rather than the others. I don’t know what it is exactly, but I think the people at Affinity thought long and hard about the interface and made an art program that is actually fun to use.
Thanks, Affinity!
Very nice, and nice intro to the program you use.
I highly recommend the Affinity line of products as they are reasonably priced and a joy to use, but I sorely miss CorelDraw on my old 386. It had terrific extrusion and perspective tools even back then!
