My First Paying Job

This was my first paying freelance job. It was an illustration for the Jewish Exponent accompanying an article that had something to do with what the former hippies were up to 20 years after the hippie era. Essentially, they told me what they wanted, and I gave it to them. That’s why they have love beads wrapped around their waists which never did make any sense to me. I wasn’t going to argue. It was my first gig, and it paid better than the  Welcomat.

It was done in technical pen which was my weapon of choice at the time.
