Katharine Hepburn went to Bryn Mawr, won 4 Academy Awards, and wore trousers before they were fashionable. Personally, I think her biggest accomplishment is this recipe for brownies. They are fudgey, gooey, and a snap to throw together. Make these brownies!
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- pinch of salt
- Preheat oven to 325º. Grease an 8″ x 8″ pan.
- Melt butter in a small saucepan with cocoa, and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool for 15 minutes. In a separate bowl, whisk the sugar, flour, nuts, and salt – set aside.
- Add the eggs, one at a time to the butter/cocoa mixture until well combined, then add the vanilla. Stir in the dry ingredients, and pour into prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack and cut into bars.
Looks delicious!
