- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 cups mini chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 3/4 cup sour cream, room temperature
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup milk, room temperature
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- Preheat oven to 425º. Line muffin pans with 18 liners.
- In a medium bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs, sour cream, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients mixing with a spoon until just combined.
- Scoop the batter into muffin papers, sprinkle with heart decorations. Bake for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350º and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack.
