Digital Doodles

I’ve mostly set aside my real world drawing tools as an obsession with old computers has been burning through me since around Halloween. I’m trying to frugally future-proof my family’s digital life by gutting and re-configuring computers that have long since been bought and paid for. I bask in online fix-it guides and the many dismantling videos on YouTube.

Sadly, repairing computers seems to use a different part of my brain than drawing. There’s only enough room in my head for one obsession at a time. It’s difficult switching gears.

BUT I have to get back to drawing!

That being said, I have been playing around with the free drawing program that is available for Windows, Linux and Mac — Krita. I am using it with Linux Mint with a Wacom drawing tablet. It’s fun, but I don’t think I’ll give up my traditional tools for it.
