WFIL 56
Before Philadelphia’s American Broadcast Company affiliate was WPVI it was WFIL, and it had a sister radio station on the AM dial that played a heavy rotation of top forty hits and a whole lot of commercials.

Frankie Laine Meets the Queen
So what was her Majesty’s favourite – Mule Train or Rawhide? This is another mouldy oldie in a collection of records found in an old darkroom at a Philadelphia area printer.

Recorded in London – February 1, 1959

Blue Hawaii
Another disk from the stash of records found at a printer. This album included Rock-A-Hula Baby which was Dolores Fuller’s first published song. Fuller was bad film auteur Ed Wood’s ex-girlfriend and featured in a a few of his films. … Continue reading
