After the hunks of holiday pie, and mountains of mashed potatoes with gravy – we try to reverse the damage with salads. I’ve been packing salad for Joe to take to work, tossing in various vegetables, olives, and cheese leftover from the holiday, along with a light vinaigrette. This salad dressing is a shortcut, it’s delicious, and easy to make – a good thing after spending two days in the kitchen cooking!
- 1 packet of Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing Mix
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons Hellman’s mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons water
- In an empty jar, prepare the recipe for the Good Seasons Italian Dressing as it written on the back of the envelope.
- Add the Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, sugar, garlic powder, mayonnaise, olive oil, vinegar, and water. Beat to combine with a fork.
- Store in refrigerator for up to 4 weeks. Before using, be sure to give the jar a good shake.
