Another sketchbook laid to rest. This was a Canson XL Mixed Media sketch pad that I started back on Valentine’s Day in 2015 and finished up yesterday. I rotate through about half a dozen sketchbooks ignoring some while favoring others. I had set this one aside until recently when I found that it fit well in my bag I take to work. For some reason, this book caught fire for me recently and I consumed it’s pages with pencils, washes and water colors. It’s not quite the Sketchbook from Heaven, but it’s pretty close. The paper is a little toothy, but it happily takes both wet and dry media so I may soon be shopping for an exact replacement.
These pads get kicked around so I encrust them with whatever stickers I can find.
Below are some of the highlights from this sketchbook:
UPDATE: I was flipping through the DO NOT DOUBLE STACK sketchbook and decided to throw a few more doodles into the gallery above.
Very nice!
Thanks!
Love them!
Thanks, Artie! Getting tired of digital and shaking the rust off of the old skills!
