Marvel Treasury Editions

Marvel Treasury Edition -- The Incredible Hulk80 glorious over-sized pages of Hulk stories by some of the greatest members of Marvel Comics’ legendary bullpen of writers and illustrators. The treasury editions were printed on newsprint like the regular comic books, and they were usually sold at drug stores and supermarkets. This one was published in 1978.

    I was already out of comics by then. I’d been in the Navy 8 years at that point… sigh

    There was a push to put comics on every military base, but it sort of dried up with the draft. Also, the guys taking over editorial at the big comic companies all favored super-heroes over war and Western comics. They went with kid stuff rather than the stories for GIs.
