Visual Metaphor • Stranded on a Jungle Island

This is another in a series of visual metaphors that I provide as a learning tool for executive coaches in order to develop their clients’ leadership skills. The visual metaphor in this case is a three panel, sequential cartoon that illustrates this executive’s current career state, a transitional state and a successful final state that sees the individual flourish in the company.

In this case, this man views his business’ expansion as a wildly growing jungle that he must tame. Eventually with the coach’s help he sees strategies where he may be able to gain control and see business thrive.

  1. Old NFO says:

Interesting… I’d love to see the entire graphic.

  2. Joe says:

The three panels are the entire graphic. This client has the three panels running across a letter sized sheet with the client’s verbiage on the back. The coach and the client refer to the print out during their sessions.
