My ongoing obsession of doodling vampires, werewolves and bimbos in a cheap sketchbook while watching trash on television continues so I thought I would share some sketches as well as some of the cinematic magnificence in which I’ve been basking.
Embedded below for your edification is the 1961 sub-classic known in its home country of Italy as Lycanthropus which is a pretty nifty title, but it was released in the USA as Werewolf in a Girls’ Dormitory. A handsome new teacher arrives at a reformatory school for girls, and the girls start dying. Is the professor a werewolf? Don’t stand, DON’T STAND too close to him! You can watch the movie embedded above or check it out at the Internet Archive. It’s in the public domain and absolutely free!
I continue to sketch on the couch usually with 2mm red lead, and the subject is usually monsters. A lot of the drawings have been the product of brainstorming a story or trying to come up with designs for monsters. I think I’m still searching for my werewolf design. I’m still leaning towards a Lon Chaney, man in makeup look. That’s always been the wolf-man to me.
You switched from red to blue for highlights! Nice change!
Thanks!
