Checkbook Cover

Why use a plastic, bank issued, checkbook cover when you can make your own custom cover in no time!

I used a scrap of canvas – 7 1/4″ x 7 1/2″, and two pieces of fabric – 7 1/4″ x 4″. I coated the canvas with digital grounds, and printed Ms. Moneybags on the cover. (The hows of printing with digital grounds are here.) Then I sewed the three pieces of fabric together, using 1/4″ seam allowance. Press seams with an iron.

Turn the ends down 1/4″ and sew, then do the same lengthwise.

Fold patterned fabric to form the pockets, press with an iron, and pin into place. Stitch all the way down, 1/8″ from the sides.

Insert your checks and transaction register into your new checkbook cover!
