Chrysanthemum

In Victorian times, the chrysanthemum represented honesty and truth. In Japan, it’s a symbol of the Emperor and the Imperial family. Buddhists use them as offerings because of their powerful Yang energy. I love them for their texture!   SaveSave

Girl with a Bouquet

I’m not sure who the girl is, but it looks as if she was preparing for a cotillion or maybe a Sweet 16, and John Capewell decided to capture her for posterity on glass negatives.
