Hell Toupee
I can’t resist a pun. Another sketchbook sketch that I photographed, imported into Procreate on my iPad and had some fun with. I exported it from Procreate and brought it into Affinity Designer in order to do the lettering. I … Continue reading

There Ought To Be Clowns
I was trying to squeak out this Halloween Head for October 31st, but it wasn’t to be. I had a Halloween costume to finish, and I ended up chasing a few wild geese and wandering up a few blind alleys … Continue reading

The Vector Chainsaw Massacre
Here is another Halloween Head I illustrated in the marvelous vector design application called Affinity Designer. I started this yesterday morning with a vague polygon shape for a face and a cog shape for hair. I wasn’t sure if it … Continue reading
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
This is a variation of my 23rd anniversary card that I posted recently. I had designed the card with a Halloween notion in mind, and it was a small matter to swap out the 23 with a Jack O’ Lantern … Continue reading

A Teenage Werewolf in a Juvenile Sketchbook

The Lurking Fear
This started as a doodle in the cheap and childish sketchbook that I wrote about recently. I was still in a Halloween frame of mind as I was kicking around costume ideas for next year. I started scratching out an … Continue reading

Dick Blick Licked
I’ve put another sketchbook to rest. I’ve had this one for a while. I bought it from Dick Blick back in 2012. I think I bought it because I thought an 8 inch by 10 inch pad would be a … Continue reading
