I’ve written before about my favorite home entertainment device and the wonderfully weird channels found on it, but I’ve recently uncovered a Treasure Trove of Trash that I did not know existed, and it was right under my nose!
Here’s another fine example of the urban phenomena I call Truck Mascots. This fellow was adorning a commercial garbage truck making a pickup around 4th and Bainbridge.
Spotted on the corner of 13th Street and Kimball in South Philadelphia – a hardback semi-autobiography of Michael Phelps and a two-tone shoe that was probably the height of fashion in the 1980s.
The other day I chased after a garbage truck dressed in my pajamas. What it was doing in my pajamas I’ll never know.
