Looking South – Last Day at the Pool
Today is the last day for swimming at the Marion Anderson Pool. We bid farewell to the lifeguards, pool staff, and neighborhood regulars and wish them a happy fall, winter, and spring – until we meet again!

Italian Orzo Salad
I’ve made lots of potato salad and coleslaw this summer – I needed to break out of my food rut. So here’s Italian Orzo Salad, pasta, greens, beans, and sun-dried tomatoes – a perfect partner to grilled chicken or fish.
Looking South – Flags at Marion Anderson Pool
The Marion Anderson Pool has been renovated thanks to neighborhood volunteers. The chain link fence between the seating area and the pool has been removed, and umbrellas and lounge chairs dot the area around the pool.
